Biography of Dragiša Radulović
DRAGISA RADULOVIC was born in CACAK, in 1936 and graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, worked in profession until retirement , started with photography in high scool and with exhibitions in 1959 , both in the student club Elektromasinac and in the Foto-cine Union of Yugoslavia. He has participated in more than 160 shows of the Salon of Photography in the country and abroad, and has received about 50 awards and recognitions for individual works and collections. • Radulovic has held 20 individual exibitions of multi-year project-theme in B&W technique: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST , ACT, ENCOUNTERS, FACES PASSING , WOOD AND STONE , DJERDAP 1969. and so on. • Author’s basic approach to photography is shown in titles of some of his individual exibitions :” ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY”, ARTIST’S LIFE “, “LOOKING DEEP INTO THE ESSENCE “ and “ SPARKLES OF THE SPIRIT, REFLECTION OF THE SOUL” . • For the decades-long engagement on the expansion of photography, in education of young photographers as a lecturer and instructor, a jury member many times and organizer of exhibitions and other activities, he is awarded „Boris Kidric“ Bronze Medallion. • From 1962 to the present day he cooperates with the press, publishing houses, institutes, museums ( Museum of Applied Art, National Museum,), galeries,(Serbian Academy of science and Art, Cultural Center, “Cvijeta Zuzoric”, “Stara Kapetanija”, Association of Fine Artists of Serbia), cultural centers, community organizations and a number of artists. • He is atitled MF FKSY, MF FSS (Master of photography of Photographic Association of Yugoslavia and Serbia, AFIAP. He is member of ULUPUDS (Association of Applied Arts, Artists and Designers of Serbia) by invitation from 2014. and by this Association he was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. • **** The author approaches to the portrait in photography as to an art document which shows the man-artist’s chosen moment in communication with present author, sometimes completed with ambience from which portrait arises.
